Pups can join our classes from vaccinations upwards. It's a great activity for bonding and for tiring them mentally whilst their bones and joints are still growing.
Yes! Every dog has the ability to Mantrail as we are just harnessing their amazing sense of smell and channelling it into a fun game.
Introductions are usually held at Allan Bank, Grasmere. Our follow on training sessions take place in various locations. Accommodations and be made at regular sessions to introduce you to Mantrailing if you are struggling to make the planned Introduction sessions.
Introduction workshops are £55 where you will be introduced to the “game” and receive a certificate, rosette and your 1st patch badge as well as some other goodies.
You will need a harness to Mantrail in, including on your intro session. But don’t invest in lots of kit until you know the sport is for you. I have kit bags available to purchase with everything you need to start out once you decide you want to take up the sport.
Regular progression sessions are £25.
Look at our schedule on BookWhen and book and pay for your schedule on there.

Yes. Our classes are run in small groups of 6 dog and owners teams maximum with the opportunity to adapt sessions to an individual’s dog’s needs.
Mantrailing can be a great way to help build positive associations with people due to the methods we use and dogs are worked one at a time and kept on a longline at all times.
Please contact us before booking a class if your dog has any behaviour issues so we can ensure we can accommodate your dog’s needs.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! We train dogs to find people by their specific scent purely for fun. There are operational teams out there but Pet Star Academy is not one of them. We do this with pet dogs only for the shear thrill of how amazing the dog’s nose is.
